Shoppers at The Village at Corte Madera will soon have a new option for intimates and activewear.

Aerie, the popular American Eagle Outfitters sub-brand, is opening a store at the open-air shopping center, according to an announcement posted on the center's website Sunday, July 26.

No opening date has been set.

The shopping center's announcement said only to "stay tuned for store opening details, special events and more."

But hiring is already underway. A LinkedIn job posting dated Monday, July 20, lists a part-time Brand Ambassador position for Aerie at the Village at Corte Madera, with a pay range of $16.90 to $18.59 per hour.

What Aerie sells

Aerie launched in 2006 as American Eagle's intimates sub-brand and now operates 448 stores across North America, selling bras, underwear, loungewear, activewear, swim, and accessories. Parent company American Eagle Outfitters, headquartered in Pittsburgh, reported record first-quarter revenue of $1.2 billion, up 10%, according to a July 2026 Charlotte Observer report.

A growing tenant mix

Aerie joins a lineup of more than 60 shops, restaurants, and department stores at the Macerich-owned center, which opened in 1985 at 1618 Redwood Highway. Major tenants include Nordstrom, RH Marin, Apple, and Pottery Barn.

The addition follows SKIMS, the intimates and shapewear brand, which opened in Center Court in April 2026.

The broader retail picture in Corte Madera is also getting attention from town leaders. In June 2026, the Town Council voted unanimously to allocate up to $145,000 to Good City Co. of Redwood City and Economic & Planning Systems Inc. of Oakland to develop an economic growth strategy. Amy Lyle, Corte Madera's director of community development, said at the June 17 meeting that the plan would focus on "urban design and place-making as a strategy for economic development."
