Families in Tiburon have a new midweek option this summer: free movies every Wednesday afternoon at the downtown cinema on Main Street.
Cinelounge Tiburon launched its "Movies on Main" series Wednesday, July 15, with the animated comedy "Minions & Monsters," the first of six complimentary family matinees running weekly at 3:30 p.m. through Wednesday, Aug. 19. NorCal Plastic Surgery is sponsoring the series, covering the cost of admission for all attendees.
The Tiburon Chamber of Commerce announced the lineup on Instagram on Monday, July 14, describing it as "a fun new tradition in downtown Tiburon" that mixes brand-new theatrical releases with animated classics.
Seating is limited. Advance reservations are recommended, and a $3.50 online booking fee applies.

All screenings begin at 3:30 p.m. at Cinelounge Tiburon, 40 Main St. in downtown Tiburon.
The series pairs newer releases with films that parents may remember from their own childhoods. "The Land Before Time," the 1988 animated classic, screens Aug. 5, while "Sing," the 2016 jukebox musical, follows on Aug. 12. The lineup closes with "PAW Patrol: Dino Movie" on Aug. 19.
The Wednesday afternoon time slot puts the screenings squarely in summer-camp pickup territory, giving families a low-cost activity during the long stretch between the end of summer and the start of school.
