A cast of teen performers will bring "Legally Blonde the Musical" to Throckmorton Theatre in downtown Mill Valley starting Friday, July 31, at 7 p.m., with additional performances running through Sunday, Aug. 2.

The show caps a two-week intensive summer camp for actors ages 14 to 18. Campers have been rehearsing daily since Monday, July 20, logging seven-hour days from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the nonprofit's 300-seat venue at 142 Throckmorton Ave. The camp was fully cast when registration closed earlier this summer.

The musical follows Elle Woods from sorority life to Harvard Law School. It has been a popular pick for youth theatre programs since its 2007 Broadway debut.

An annual tradition at the theatre

The closing-night production is a recurring feature of Throckmorton's summer programming. In 2025, the teen intensive presented "Rent: School Edition" on July 31 with the same 7 p.m. curtain. The theatre also runs summer camps for younger performers, including an "Aristocats" production for ages 7–12 in June and a cabaret showcase for ages 11–15 in late June and early July.

The teen intensive costs $1,225, according to the theatre's summer programs page. Financial aid and scholarships are available.
