Three Tiburon Peninsula public safety agencies will open their truck bays to the community on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, when the Tiburon Police Department, Belvedere Police Department, and Tiburon Fire Protection District co-host National Night Out at Zelinsky Park.
The free event runs from 4 to 7 p.m. at the park behind Tiburon Town Hall and the Belvedere-Tiburon Library, 1505 Tiburon Blvd.
Residents can expect tacos, Kona Ice, live music, first responder vehicle tours, games, a bounce house, and face painting, according to the City of Belvedere, which posted the announcement on its website July 20.
No registration is required. The event is open to all ages.
What is National Night Out?
National Night Out is a nationwide community policing event held on the first Tuesday of August each year. The program, sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, has run annually since 1984 and now includes thousands of communities across the country.
The event is meant to strengthen ties between residents and the officers and firefighters who serve their neighborhoods. Typical activities include block parties, cookouts, and meet-and-greets with police, fire, and paramedic crews.
