Lower Main Street in downtown Tiburon will transform into a car-free dining and entertainment zone on Friday, Aug. 21, when the Tiburon Peninsula Chamber of Commerce hosts its second and final Friday Night on Main of 2026.

The free street party runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. along the waterfront stretch of lower Main Street. Seven restaurants will serve food outdoors on the closed roadway: Salt & Pepper, The Bungalow Kitchen, The Caviar Co., Caffe Acri, Waypoint Pizza, Petite Left Bank and Malibu Farm.

Beyond dinner, the evening includes live music, lawn games, a photo booth and face painting for kids.

Admission is free. No reservations are required.

Street closure and detour

The Town of Tiburon announced in an Aug. 6 civic alert that crews will close lower Main Street from 3 to 9 p.m. to allow setup and breakdown around the event. The street remains closed until 9 p.m. to allow for breakdown. Drivers heading to Ark Row or the Main Street parking lot should use Beach Road during the closure window.

How to attend

The event is open to all ages, according to the Chamber's event listing. No tickets are needed. The first Friday Night on Main of 2026 was held June 12. The Aug. 21 edition is the last one this summer.

What's next on the Tiburon waterfront

The Chamber's next major community event is the Tiburon Wine Festival, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3, from 1 to 4 p.m.
