A free reception Tuesday, Sept. 15, celebrates a new group art show at Tiburon Town Hall featuring four local artists with studios in Sausalito.

"Nature, Reimagined, A Group Show of Artists from ICB/ART" has been on view since Sept. 8 in the upstairs Community Room Gallery at 1505 Tiburon Blvd. The exhibition runs through Oct. 29. Tuesday's reception is from 6 to 8 p.m.

Admission is free.

The Tiburon Heritage & Arts Commission organized the show after reviewing the four artists' applications at a June 30 special meeting, according to commission records. All four live on the Tiburon Peninsula and hold studios at Sausalito's Industrial Center Building, home to ICB/ART, a collective of more than 100 Bay Area artists that has hosted open studios since 1968.

The Ark reported that Kate Solari Baker, 86, has lived in Belvedere for 65 years and kept the same Sausalito studio for 47 of them. The Town Hall show marks the first time she has hung a painting there. Baker works in pastel, oil on canvas and collage in a style she calls "Contemporary Realism."

Bree Cutts is a printmaker who uses serigraph printing and custom pigments. Marine Strage, a French abstract geometry painter who studied at Central St. Martins in London, draws on landscapes from the coast of Brittany, where she grew up, to California. Lorrie Meyercord contributes oil paintings.

Works on display include Cutts' screen print "Dolly," Baker's pastel "Marin Grasses," Strage's acrylic "Bright" and Meyercord's oil painting "New Heights," according to The Ark.

The town's event listing describes the show as an exploration of native grasses, ecosystems and "patterns pressed into memory by a place."

A free artist talk is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m. in the gallery. The exhibition is open to the public Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., during Town Hall's regular hours.
