Sixty wineries will line the lagoon at Point Tiburon Plaza on Saturday, Oct. 3, when the Tiburon Wine Festival returns for its 43rd year.
The Tiburon Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, which presents the festival, will open tasting booths from 1 to 4 p.m. at 1701 Tiburon Blvd. Tickets range from about $119 to $139 through the festival's Eventbrite page and cover all wine and food tastings. The Marin Independent Journal listed the price at $129.
Eleven local restaurants will serve small plates alongside the wine. The lineup includes The Bungalow Kitchen, The Caprice, Woodlands Market, Malibu Farm, Luna Blu, Salt & Pepper, Tiburon Tavern, Caffe Acri, Jane / Marin, and Trattoria Servino.
Live music rounds out the afternoon, though performers have not been announced.
Wines come from Napa, Sonoma and other California regions, according to the Chamber's festival page. A full winery list is posted on the festival website at tiburonwinefestival.org.
Getting there by ferry is an option. Golden Gate Ferry departs San Francisco at 12:15 p.m. and arrives in Tiburon at 12:45 p.m. Festival check-in sits steps from the ferry terminal. The Chamber recommends arriving at the ferry dock at least 20 minutes before departure. Ferry tickets are not sold in Tiburon, so riders need a Clipper card or the Clipper app.
The festival is rain or shine. No refunds. Attendees must be 21 or older and bring a valid government-issued photo ID such as a driver's license or passport. No infants, strollers or animals are allowed on the event grounds.
